3. How Does it Work?
A water expansion rock bolt is first placed into a drilled hole and then expanded with water pressure. When the bolt expands, the bolt body presses against the wall of the borehole. This forms friction between the rock surface and the bolt body which creates an anchoring effect.
The bolt does not require curing time and can provide immediate ground support, allowing for faster tunneling and excavation work.
